Theatre auditions scheduled

CARROLLTON, GA - University of West Georgia students interested in performing with the West Georgia Theatre Company this fall should attend auditions scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Townsend Center for the Performing Arts.

According to Shelly Elman, theatre director, aspiring actors and actresses should prepare (memorization preferred) a one-minute monologue which can be comic or serious.

The productions scheduled for fall are Measure for Measure, a comedy about sexual politics, power and corruption by William Shakespeare, and Breath, Boom, a vivid examination of one woman’s life in a gang by Kia Corthron.
