A DAY Ice Cream Social

GA - “I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream!”
The Department of Development and Alumni Services staff served ice cream
sundaes to Dr. Debra Dwight (center), assistant professor of special education,
and Alice Wesley (r), admission specialist of UWG Graduate School, as
well as other faculty and staff members, after making their donations
or pledges at the “I Gave the First Day!”
This is an initiative designed to encourage early donations in the A DAY for West Georgia campaign. Faculty and staff members who gave donations or pledges on the first official day of the Faculty/Staff Drive also received a T-shirt and those who gave $100 or more were entered into the drawing for two free airline tickets contributed by AirTran Airways, the exclusive sponsor of the Faculty/Staff Drive.
Faculty and staff will also be recognized with a cookout on Thursday, Sept. 2, where the airline tickets will be awarded to a faculty/staff member whose donation or pledge was received by noon Sept. 2. For more information on A DAY, please contact the West Georgia Foundation at 770-836-6582.
