Commuter students offered parking at TargetAugust 24, 2005 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia is offering commuter students an incentive to park off campus and ride the shuttle to class beginning Fall Semester. “Parking will be tight this semester and we were looking
for ways to ease the problem,” states Public Safety Director Tom
Mackel. To earn the gift certificate, the student must park at Target and stay a minimum of two hours on campus. Participants will obtain a collector card from the shuttle operator and on each return trip, the operator will issue the rider a sticker. Only one sticker can be earned each day. Once all 25 slots on the card are filled, the student may take the card to the UWG Bookstore and receive a $25 gift certificate. The collector cards must be redeemed for the Bookstore gift certificate by April 30. The bookstore gift certificate must be used within one year of issue and is good for any item in the store. The Target shuttle operates between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 3 p.m. on Friday. The shuttle leaves on the half hour from the Target parking and drops off at the UCC. The pick up for the return trip at the UCC is on the quarter hour. For additional information on the commuter parking plan, contact the Department of Public Safety at 678-839-6629. -30- |
