Gerontology Lecture

CARROLLTON, GA - The Gerontology Program at the University of West Georgia and Sigma Phi Omega, an organization that honors excellence in gerontology, will present an “Evening With an Expert” featuring Bobby Buchanan. The Director of the Southern Crescent Area Agency on Aging (AAA) will discuss gerontology on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. in the Bonner Lecture Hall.

Buchanan will discuss the history of the AAA and their local projects. He will also be open for questions about the career opportunities in gerontology, the study of aging.

The Southern Crescent Agency on Aging is an organization that coordinates and administers programs for senior citizens. They offer a variety of services for persons over the age of 60 including employment services, home-delivered meals and Alzheimer services.
