Mental Health Screenings offered September 18, 2003 CARROLLTON, GA - The Student Development Center and Health Services of the University of West Georgia are sponsoring free depression and anxiety screenings for students, faculty and staff on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The screenings are designed to recognize signs of various mental disorders that may need treatment, including depression, manic-depression or severe anxiety. They are being held in conjunction with National Depression and Anxiety Day, which is held each year during Mental Illness Awareness Week. During this week, many national programs present educational programs to help erase the stigma of mental illness. The screenings will be held in the Health Services building on the UWG campus.
