of Commerce and Industry sponsored a group of top-ranking business men
and women to visit Atlanta to reach out to American opinion leaders by
making presentation on the U.S.-Saudi relationship. Amr Khashoggi was
one of the “highly successful, American-educated professionals from
the private sector” who spoke to UWG economics and management students.
Khashoggi is chairman and CEO of the Amkest Group, a holding company with
interests in construction, manufacturing, packaging and transportation.
He is also vice chairman of Modern Computers & Communication and president
of Khashoggi Foundation. The other speakers (not pictured) were Omar Bahlaiwa,
secretary general of the Saudi Committee on Development of International
