Fall Day Camp for kids September 20, 2004 CARROLLTON, GA - Wondering what you are doing to do with your children during the fall holidays? How about letting the University of West Georgia handle it! The UWG Continuing Education Department is offering a Fall Kids Camp Oct. 1-8 for children ages six to twelve years old in the Carroll County School System to coincide with the school system’s fall break. Children will have an opportunity to travel to Stone Mountain Park on Oct. 1, then enjoy learning, storytelling, swimming and other activities throughout the week. On Friday, Oct. 8, the students will travel to Tennessee visiting Ruby Falls, the aquarium and the IMAX Theater. At Stone Mountain children will have loads of fun while watching one of several new music shows, visiting the Stone Mountain Museum and touring the park on the scenic railroad just to name a few of the activities scheduled. The price of this excursion is $65 per student and $75 per adult if participants wish to enjoy this outing only and not the full week of activities. The travel camp to Tennessee for children aged six to fourteen years old is designed to teach more about geology, ecology and aquatic life. The price of this excursion is $55 per student and $62 per adult. The price includes round-trip motor coach transportation, all admissions, lunch and a tour guide with educational material plus an organized scavenger hunt.
