Friends and Family Day

CARROLLTON, GA - Carrollton will be hopping this weekend as the University of West Georgia students have an opportunity to show off their new “home” at Friends and Family Day.
The Department of Student Activities will host this annual event on Saturday, Oct. 2. At 4 p.m., a tailgate party before the Braves football game will include entertainment, a barbeque dinner and family photos.
The Braves will host Arkansas Tech at Grisham Field with kick-off at 7 p.m.
A new event this year, Rush the Field, will take place before kickoff. All freshmen are to meet at the field house at 6:30 p.m. where they will line up and be given t-shirts. This tradition is being implemented to encourage school spirit.
Friends and Family Day began three years ago to allow parents and friends to see UWG in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. For more information, contact the Department of Student Activities at 678-839-6526.
