New parking lot

CARROLLTON, GA - A new parking lot on campus will soon provide
some parking relief for students at the University of West Georgia.
The current construction of the Campus Center required the closing of
a faculty/staff parking area and those individuals were redirected to
the lot adjacent to the Townsend Center for Performing Arts. A new faculty/staff
lot, located between the Townsend Center and the Baptist Student Union,
will reopen those spaces for students.
Construction of the lot, which will provide 165 new parking spaces, will begin Sept. 12 and is expected to be completed within 90 days.
According to Lynn Agan, director of campus planning and development, the location of the new lot is in keeping with the university’s Facilities Master Plan.
