Two Senior Recitals scehduled October 22, 2004 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia Department of Music will present two student recitals in Kathy Cashen Hall, located in the Humanities Building. Soprano Emily Maniccia will sing her senior recital Thursday, Oct. 28 at 8:15 p.m., accompanied by Wayne Gilreath. Maniccia, a student of Dr. Larry Frazier, will sing works by Pergoiesi, Rossini, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms, as well as Faure, Offenbach, Ives and Duke. She is a member of the Atlanta Symphony Chorus and active in the Uwg Opera Workshop and a member off the Georgia Music Educators Association. Maniccia is the daughter of Bruno and Henrietta Maniccia of Peachtree City. On Tuesday, Nov. 2, saxophonist William Camp will perform his senior recital at 8:15 p.m. in Kathy Cashen Hall, accompanied by pianist Jan Adams. Camp, a student of Dr. John Bleuel, majors in Performance with a Jazz Studies emphasis. His program will consist of a sonata by Paul Creston, “Scaramouche,” by Darius Milhaud, the Concerto, Op. 109 of Alexander Glazunov and “Mai” by Ryo Node. The son of William Camp and Mary Sharp of Douglasville, Camp is also self-employed at Dylan's Blocks. He, and his wife Ann, reside in Rockmart.
