Run for A DAY race results

CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia Run for A DAY, sponsored by West Georgia National Bank, has come and gone, but the results are in!

The overall winner of the WGNB Run for A DAY was Mark Bryant with a time of 17:53 and the overall female winner was Angie Slappey, with a time of 19:31. The Master Male winner was Alon Stewart (19:31), the Master Female winner was Jayne Bryan (22:46), the UWG male student winner was Tyler Woodard (18:32) and the UWG female student winner was Ellie Busse (23:22).
This year, 693 participants raised $4,459 for the A DAY for West Georgia campaign, up from last year when $4,161 was raised with 596 participants.

Male age group winners were: 10 & under: Dominic Ruggiero (22:58), Johnie Whitner (26:47) and Trace Sorenson (26:50); 11-14: Parker Sorenson (21:55), Alex Sorenson (22:38) and Trey Williams (23:23); 15-19: Duston Whisenhunt (19:27), Clay Prater (19:37) and Garrett Eckerd (20:50); 20-24: Richard Matz (19:27), John P. (20:19) and James Emanuel (20:37); 25-29: Robert Kibet Rotich (19:44), Neoko Hristov (19:46) and Casey Vance (20:37); 30-34: Ken Wiggins (19:27), Mark Anderson (21:42) and Mike Morrison (27:02).

35-39: Curt Malone (24:30), Jim Bellon (25:25) and Jim Cooley (29:21); 40-44: Tom Rippey (22:21), Mike Ruggiero (23:23) and Rusty Batch (23:47); 45-49: Rance Stogner (20:09), Tom Horihan (20:35) and Marty Miller (21:55). 50-54: Bill Wright (20:00), Curtis Hollabaugh (20:51) and David Harris (21:54); 55-59: John Stigner (22:08), Tom Weitzel (22:37) and Jackie Brown (24:06); 60-64: John W. Merry Jr. (29:08); 65-69: Jim Rasnake (25:20) and George Morse (35:24); 70 & up: Don McClellan (40:39).
