Rape Agression Defense program for women offeredNovember 17, 2005 CARROLLTON, GA - The University of West Georgia’s Police Department is sponsoring a Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program for women Monday, Nov. 21 from 3-6 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. in the University Community Center room 207. RAD Systems began in 1989 to provide realistic self-defense techniques by helping women capitalize on their natural strengths. The course begins with awareness, prevention and risk reductions, then progresses to the basics of self-defense training. The course ends with a simulation, allowing participants to use the techniques they have learned. Pre-registration is required and the cost is $10 for students,
faculty and staff and $15 for community members. More classes will be
offered during the spring semester. For more information, or to register,
