CARROLLTON, GA - For the first time in University of West Georgia History, an Internet video stream of graduation ceremonies will be available.
According to Madison Bryan in the UWG Information Technology Services (ITS) Department, Internet users can find the feed at the University’s main website, www.westga.edu. The stream requires Quicktime software and a high-speed connection, such as broadband or DSL.
Dr. Thomas Hynes, vice president for academic affairs, said the video stream was a service that UWG President Dr. Behuruz N,. Sethna wanted to provide.
“The sole purpose was to make this available to the public who might wish to observe the ceremonies,” Hynes said.
Also available are videos of the morning and afternoon fall 2004 Graduation Ceremonies. University Television (UTV) are producing the DVDs and VHS tapes for $20 each. Videos can be ordered at the UTV table at the HPE Building Lobby at graduation or call 678-839-6461.
