Angel Tree in the TLC
December 7, 2005
CARROLLTON,
GA - University of West Georgia students Erum Raja (l) and Chris Shacklady
showed their holiday spirit by decorating a six-foot Christmas tree with
lights, tinsel and angel tags in the Technology Learning Center. The ages
and gender of underprivileged children in Carroll County are printed on
the angels for students, faculty and staff to choose and purchase gifts
for in this holiday season. Sponsored by the American Chemical Society,
a student and educator organization, the tree will hold 75 angels representing
children who need the help of the Carroll County Department of Family
and Children Services. The drop-off deadline for angel presents is Friday,
Dec.16 at Jill Stallings office in the Chemistry Department. For more
information, call 678-839-6550.
