Princeton Review - A Best Southeastern College

When H.W. Richards began to develop the Ole Hickory neighborhood off of Highway 61 about 40 years ago, he ran into a problem. His builders failed to find a water supply for residents. After the last well, drilled to a depth of 274 feet, turned up dry, Richards turned to West Georgia Professor of Geology Tom Crawford for help.

Senior's Art Featured in Gallery

Princeton Review - A Best Southeastern College

Rockmart resident and UWG senior Buffy Head will graduate this summer with a degree in art education. She opened her Senior Show this week in the second floor gallery of the Humanities Building. A reception is scheduled on Thursday, July 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. and the community is invited to attend.

The senior will begin her career at Sweetwater Elementary School in Douglas County as an art teacher.
