Total Cost for In-state Students (Georgia Residents)*

The Advanced Academy is a Move On When Ready (MOWR) program at UWG. Academy students who are dual enrolled in The Advanced Academy/UWG and a Georgia public, private, or home school will receive MOWR funding.

MOWR funding covers: tuition up to the amount for 15 credit hours ($2613 for the 2015-16 academic year), mandatory fees, and books for up to 15 credit hours of classes.

Out of pocket costs for MOWR students may include: transportation to UWG, fees associated with specific classes (such as lab science fees, etc.), and an optional fee for UWG Health Services

Total Cost for Out-of-state and International Students*

The total cost of attendance for out-of-state or international students who attend the Advanced Academy is equal to the cost for traditional out-of-state and international UWG students.

We are transitioning to a non-residential program and will not accept new residential students for Fall 2016 and subsequent semesters. Out-of-state and international students who wish to attend the Advanced Academy must secure their own private, off-campus residence.

Scholarship Opportunities

As described above, most Georgia students receive MOWR funding. The Academy offers both merit and need-based scholarships to those students who qualify. Scholarships can help to offset the cost of transportation, fees that MOWR does not cover, and books beyond 15 credit hours. Award amounts are subject to change from year to year based on changes in the student's financial situation and changes in the Academy's available funds. Scholarships are not awarded to every Academy student who qualifies; they are awarded on a competitive basis.

*The figures listed above are for the 2015-2016 school year. Cost is subject to change each academic year and will generally be slightly higher each year. The amount awarded through the MOWR program is also subject to change each year.
