Biography
Kimberly Bingham joined the Department of Sport Management, Wellness, and Physical Education in the fall of 2017. Prior to coming to UWG, she worked as a Firefighter II, paramedic, and a Field Training Specialist for Gwinnett County, where she taught and trained nursing students, EMTs, and paramedics. In addition, she worked as a paramedic for Grady Emergency ambulance service in the city of Atlanta and in the emergency room at Atlanta Medical Center. She has 12 years of experience as professional soccer coach and has served as a team and goalkeeper coach nationwide including San Ramon Soccer Club, West Contra Costa Soccer League, AFC Lightning, and NASA Tophat. Most recently, she served as the Director of Goalkeeping at NASA Tophat where she coached athletes attending the University of Maryland, Indiana University, Princeton University, and Boston College. At the University of West Georgia, she serves as the faculty advisor for Sigma Kappa and is a member of the College of Education Diversity Advisory Committee, the Responsible Sexuality Committee, and NCAA Sexual Violence Prevention Committee. She is an AHA BLS Instructor and actively works with Project Search and Project Wolf.
