Biography

Lara Willox is the chair of Educational Technology and Foundations and an associate professor. Her teaching and research focus on socially just and responsible education. As a social studies scholars she focuses her research agenda on early childhood social studies and the concept of family. She is active in the National Council for the Social Studies. Prior to completing her doctorate at UNC Chapel Hill, she taught for twelve years in public elementary schools in Charlotte, North Carolina.
