Brent started at the University in the fall of 2017. He received a B.S. in Meteorology and MEd. from Valparaiso University and a PhD. in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana University. He primarily works with graduate students transitioning into teaching through the MAT program and with UTeach teacher candidates. His research interests lie primarily within scientific argumentation and how preservice teachers use discourse while constructing arguments.
