Graduate Assistant of Fitness and Wellness

Biography

I am originally from Peru but I am proud to call South Florida my home. I attended Florida Gulf Coast University for my undergrad, where I studied Social Work and Child Welfare. I used my love for dance and choreography to begin as a Zumba instructor in the Recreation Center, with more ambition than I could contain, I found myself wanting to learn and teach more fitness classes. Recreation then became my passion as more opportunities popped up, my goal was to get as much experience in not only fitness but the administrative, events and aquatics sides of recreation. I am very grateful, not only for the Fitness and Wellness program but for UREC as a whole here at West Georgia. There are so many unique opportunities that the Campus Center has to offer to UWG. I hope to bring as much energy and enthusiasm to West Georgia as I continue to grow and find my place as professional. My goals here are to help improve the UWG community and aid its students to be confident in school and the workplace.
