Empowered and enlightened by the feedback of nearly 1,300 internal and external stakeholders, members of the University of West Georgia leadership team are now coalescing the volumes of input and information into one strategic vision.

In the process’ first stage, Stakeholder Engagement, through nearly 100 Discovery Sessions and the fielding of a survey instrument that garnered more than 900 responses, the institution gathered input from cohesive, far-reaching, and collective voices to guide what the university will become.

Currently in the stage of Strategic Planning Prioritization, the university’s strategic planning process has engaged members of the university’s core executive team, cabinet, and Strategic Planning Steering Team to validate and prioritize the themes identified in the first stage.

In the upcoming stage, Strategic Plan Delivery, the final version of the strategic plan will be developed, submitted to the University System of Georgia Board of Regents for review, and shared with campus/community stakeholders. The strategic plan that will guide the institution over the next decade and beyond will launch in early 2021.
