Recognizes a team - group of individuals comprised of 3 or more employees (staff and/or faculty) - that contribute to one of the four strategic imperatives while demonstrating one of the eight core values to help the University of West Georgia be the best place to work, learn, and succeed.
Criteria: The team (staff/faculty) demonstrates notable achievement of one of the eight core values (Achievement, Caring, Collaboration, Inclusiveness, Innovation, Integrity, Sustainability, and Wisdom) and one or more of the strategic imperatives that reflect an accomplishment of the strategic plan. Team employees must be comprised of full-time or part-time benefited employees with at least one year employment.
Nomination Process for Team Recognition:
a. A part-time or full-time employee may nominate a team. Please note: students and grad assistants are not allowed to nominate nor be nominated.
b. Nomination form is completed and forwarded to the Divisional Vice President of the team. If assistance is needed to determine supervisor, contact the University Administrator – Marie Robinson.
c. Vice President completes Direct Supervisor Scorecard and forwards to the University Administrator with nomination form.
d. University Administrator sends Vice President(s) a certificate for presentation to nominated team.
e. Nominated teams are entered into a pool of candidates after the third recognition period. Winning team to be selected by the End of Year Committee.
f. Winning team will receive a trophy and $1000.00 in professional development funds, will be recognized at the annual end of year celebration, and highlighted in University publications and website.
