Two University of West Georgia students saw their futures crystallize before their eyes this summer while conducting undergraduate research in Colorado and Austria. Abby Denny and Perry Wasdin, both chemistry majors, embarked on adventures of a lifetime as part of the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program.
Adding to Success: UWG Math Professor Earns Award, Assists African-American Men
Dr. Christopher Jett, associate professor of mathematics at the University of West Georgia, was recently awarded the prestigious 2019 Early Career Award from the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE). The ceremony took place at AMTE's annual conference held this year in Orlando, Florida.
UWG Physics Celebrates Moon Landing
If you weren't around yet to experience the first moon landing live on July 20, 1969, the University of West Georgia had you covered. UWG Department of Physics celebrated the 50th anniversary of the landing with "The Eagle Has Landed," an opportunity to experience the landings from the UWG campus at Crider Hall in the Boyd Building.
