Devoe's current research focuses on and the implementation of Digital Game-Based Learning (DBGL) environments for advanced undergraduate and graduate applied mathematics courses such as vector analysis, differential equations, linear algebra, and mathematical biology and its effects on student learning. He's the director UWG Mathematics Teacher Conference, which provide pre-service and veteran teachers with useful information, practical suggestions and innovative strategies to design his/her mathematics learning environment or classroom as a dynamic center for student learning along with mentorship. He is also the coordinator of the STEM Conex Conference, where STEM majors are shown how mathematics and science content-knowledge is utilized by professionals in the STEM workforce and research institutions and develop positive mentor relationships among STEM faculty and the corporate STEM workforce professionals. As a result, this conference empowers STEM undergraduate and graduate majors to confidently be stimulated to lead themselves into a successful STEM career. His additional interest combine applied mathematics, neuroscience, biology, and engineering, with a main focus on the dynamics and control of biological and technological networks.
