Associate Director, Career Development


Jessica Nguyen comes to us from the technical college system after earning her Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration in 2018. Jessica brings with her experience in counseling, adult education, and dual enrollment all of which led to her passion to help people find their right college major and career path. In her role as associate director of career development, Jessica is responsible for overseeing the career development team and building partnerships across campus to bring career services to students through counseling and coaching sessions, walk-in hours, classroom presentations, workshops, and other events. In her spare time, Jessica enjoys riding horses and holds several state and world champion titles, reading, dancing, and singing which led her to performing with Rome Little Theatre in two musical productions.

    General Responsibilities

    Oversees all initiatives related to career development; career advising/counseling, administering/interpreting assessments, career/major exploration and internship/job search preparation. Serves as liaison for alumni, graduate students, and University College. Responsible for building campus partnerships to ensure effective career programming for students across all colleges and for collecting and evaluating career development data to ensure goals are met and to help evaluate and improve future sessions and programming.
