A New Direction for State Laws?

Since real estate brokerage often facilitates the most financially significant purchase in a person's lifetime, the role of the real estate agent merits attention. From 1994 to 1997, the State of Florida passed three bills addressing the role of the real estate agent. This article describes the provisions of a 1997 law, the "Brokerage Relationship Disclosure Act," that the author believes might serve as a model for other states.
