This paper uses logit analysis to examine how class attendance and other factors influence a student's chances of performing well or poorly in the Principles of Economics course. We find that increased absenteeism reduces a student's odds of obtaining a good grade and increases their odds of receiving a poor grade. Other factors also affect these odds in ways that are consistent with previous studies. We also find a difference in the performance of males and females that our data did not reveal in earlier work.
