Here are a few are benefits to registering your organization on campus: 

  • Reserve the use of University facilities
  • Sponsor or present a public performance on University property when a University facility has been properly reserved and University regulations and administrative rules are followed
  • Raise funds or make other permissible solicitations on University property in accordance with University regulations and administrative rules
  • Post signs and distribute literature in accordance with University regulations
  • Use campus mail services
  • Receieve constant professional and personal development 

 

  • How to start a new organization
    What you need:
    • An organization email address - Can be the president's email or a new email created for the organization. Must be the best way to contact someone about your organization
    • A Universiry advisor - Must be full-time faculty or professional staff
    • A constitution - An organization's governing document
    • At least 5 student (undergraduate, graduate, part-time, or full-time) members
    • A member roster - a list of all members and their UWG email addresses (it must be using template ONLY)
  • How to re-enable a previous organization
    What you need:
    • An organization email address - Can be the president's email or a new email created for the organization. Must be the best way to contact someone about your organization
    • A University advisor - Must be full-time faculty or professional staff. If your organization's previous advisor is still available, we recommend reaching out to them
    • An updated constitution - An organization's governing document. We recommend using an older version of the constitution and then update it
    • At least 5 student members (undergraduate, graduate, part-time, or full-time) members
    • A member roster - a list of all members and their UWG email addresses (it must be using template ONLY)
  • How to register an organization for a new academic year
    2019-2020 re-registration process:
    • The registration period will begin Monday, March 25th and end on Thursday, April 25th. Your organization MUST be registered within this time period

  • General registered student organization (RSO) requirements
    What you need:
    • ALL NEW PRESIDENTS must attend a president's meeting. During the re-registration period, they will be held every week. Please contact the Coordinator of Marketing and Involvement, kvaughan@westga.edu with any quesitons
    • Your membership roster MUST be submitted in the proper form. If it is not, it will be sent back. Click here to download the template and click here for template instructions
