• General Information

    The performance management process for the January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 period will be completed through an electronic process using the PeopleAdmin system. The performance evaluation form includes Best Place to Work Standards and Job Standards.

    From the home page click on the three (3) blue dots in the upper left corner of the home page to open the menu and select “University Of West Georgia Employee Portal” under the OTHER TOOLS area to access the performance management module.

For example, once you access an employee’s plan by clicking on ‘Supervisor Creates Plan’ from your Action Items page, the step instructions are located at the top of each screen in ‘blue’. The instructions will provide ‘just in time’ assistance, as you work through the evaluation steps.

    PeopleAdmin Performance Module System Training for Managers & Supervisors (1.5 hours):

    This session is designed for managers and supervisors and will include a discussion and demonstration of the PeopleAdmin Performance Module system steps and timeline.  The demonstration will include how to:

    • Access the performance module within PeopleAdmin & review action items due
    • Activate the performance plan for each direct report and discuss key points to include prior to activation
    • Access employee self-evaluations (optional, by department)
    • Complete the supervisor evaluation & submit to reviewing officer for approval
    • Complete the supervisor/employee review meeting
    • Submit to the employee for acknowledgement
    • Acknowledge the conflict of interest policy

    This session will present the University of West Georgia’s Best Place to Work Standards and Job Standards.  Goal setting, performance rating scales and a demonstration of the employee responsibilities within the PeopleAdmin system performance module will also be discussed and demonstrated. PeopleAdmin performance module demonstration will include how to:

    • Complete and submit an employee self-evaluation (optional, determined by the department)
    • Review the supervisor evaluation and future goals
    • Submit the employee evaluation and conflict of interest policy acknowledgement

  • Timeline

    The timeline below is a suggested schedule. The primary focus will be the final due date of February 22, 2019. Supervisors may change the dates within the schedule based on various needs of the department.   

    • January 7th: System will be active for supervisors to begin initiating evaluations.
    • January 18th: Supervisors should have all evaluations initiated/created.  This step must be completed in order for employees to complete the self-evaluation and/or for supervisors to complete their evaluations.
    • February 1st: Supervisor and self-evaluations to be completed and submitted to the Reviewing Officer (next level supervisor) for review.  
    • February 8th: Reviewing Officers complete their review of the self and supervisor evaluations.
    • February 15th: Supervisor and employees complete their conversation(s) and review of evaluations.
    • February 22nd:  Employees complete final acknowledgments of evaluation.

  • Leading the Pack

    In collaboration with Dr. Janet Pilcher and Studer Education, we are excited to offer leadership development to support all leaders at the University of West Georgia. Listening to your input, we are offering an opportunity for all UWG leaders to learn and grow with each other, growing ourselves to grow others. 

    The topics offered during these sessions will be focused on ways that leaders can apply skills and tactics to foster an engaged work environment. These topics also align with the items on the employee engagement survey that identify our highest development needs.

    All supervisors and managers who are responsible for guiding the work of others are invited to attend these sessions.

    Sessions are offered throughout the year and will be communicated via Work West Bulletin and e-mails to All Staff and All Faculty.
