Special Collections is located on the ground floor of Ingram Library and can be accessed either using the elevator or taking the marble staircase down from the main lobby. The entrance to Special Collections is located down the elevator hallway and a the wooden door. on the opposite side of the elevators from Murphy's office. This section of Ingram Library also houses the Department of History's Center for Public Service.
The stacks are not open for browsing. Instead, researchers request materials and our staff gladly assists in identifying and pulling relevant materials to your research or other interest areas.
Requested materials are served to researchers in the lovely Special Collections Research Room. Use of some Special Collections materials may be subject to restrictions. A selection of materials are stored offsite and may require additional time for retrieval. Please feel welcome to call 678-839-5455 or email email@example.com for more information.
Featured on the ground floor of Ingram Library is also the re-creation of the office of long-time Georgia State Speaker of the House, Thomas B. Murphy, along with other exhibitions of Special Collections materials.
