Our ability to accommodate room/building changes is based solely on the availability of space.
Room changes are possible depending on the individual student's needs. Students requesting a room change will need to submit a Room Change Request Form to their Residence Life Coordinator. Students may choose to meet with his/her Residence Life Coordinator to discuss their individual needs and discuss the room change process. During the first three weeks of each semester a "room freeze" is in effect. This period allows for the Housing Office to take an inventory of occupancy and vacancies. Beginning September 1, 2009, residents may download the Room Change Request Form and submit it to their Residence Life Coordinator. When considering a change, students should make note that housing rates are different for the various buildings and room types. If your room change is approved, please note that you will be financially responsible for the difference in room rates (if any) and will be expected to pay any outstanding fees on your student account by the appropriate deadline as set forth by the Bursar’s office. To view the 2009-2010 room rates, please check our website at: http://www.westga.edu/assetsDept/reslife/2009-2010_UWG_Residence_Life_Rates.pdf. Please review the schedule listed below for important room change dates:

No later than September 11, 2009 at midnight- Students will be emailed notification if their request was approved or denied and the appropriate course of action.
