Bio and Interests

Prior to joining the department Mitch taught at a college and worked as a systems programmer. His interests include computer systems, programming languages, and computer science education.

Mitch enjoys hiking, canoeing, and playing tennis. He is interested in environmental issues and is an active member of the Upper Tallapoosa Watershed Group.

Although Mitch retired from the University in the spring of 2009, he continues to visit the department and often attends departmental socials and other activities.

Bio and Research Interests

Dr. Lloyd's professional interests are in the areas software engineering, object-oriented development, and computer science education. Prior to joining UWG in 1991, he worked in a number of positions in industry as a programmer, analyst, and project leader.

Dr. Lloyd retired from the University in 2015.

Adel AbunawassProfessor and Chair Emeritus of Computer Science

Bio and Research Interests

Dr. Abunawass' interests are in the areas of artificial intelligence, neural networks, and computer science education. He has held a number of positions in industry as a senior software engineer with Control Data Corporation and as a senior consultant.

Dr. Abunawass retired from the University in 2019.
