Destination: Music - The definitive college music experience

Performer playing soprano sax in Cashen Hall

Looking for the definitive way to experience life as a student of Music? Do you wonder when the best Music scholarships are available? Wish you had a day off of school to see the University experience for yourself? If so, you're in the right place!

This one-of-a-kind opportunity lets you get it all in one visit. Destination: Music is a day full of musical activities for prospective Music majors.

While here you will have the opportunity to attend mini-classes in Music Theory and Conducting, as well as sit in on our ensemble rehearsals and master classes in voice, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. Pianists will have the opportunity to participate in a piano workshop and/or experience a free mini piano lesson (available to those who plan to perform a piano audition).

Destination: Music is held on President's Day each year since most students in public schools are off. We coordinate it around the University's Scholarship Day, and some students participate in both events.

Audition for admission and scholarships

In addition to the immersive experience you'll receive during Destination: Music, this day is the best opportunity to audition for Admission and Scholarships.
