Research
Research is a core component of archaeology, and, as such, it comprises one of the Waring Center’s primary operational areas. The Center acts as a support mechanism for research for UWG students and faculty as well as external researchers, and it curates collections that provide the basis for research.
Faculty, staff, and students at the Center have a number of active research projects, and these projects involve active field work/data collection, experimentation, and collections-based research. Explore research projects.
We also invite visiting researchers to use our facility and to conduct research on curated collections, pending collection owner’s granting access and permissions. We have a range of equipment available to facilitate research projects.
