Overview:
The audition consists of a prepared monologue and a prepared song. “Prepared” means both pieces are memorized, rehearsed, and demonstrate character development.
Monologue Requirements
- Length: approximately one minute
- Style: comic
- Source: contemporary play or musical
Song Requirements
- Tempo: uptempo or ballad
- Prepare: 32 bars (uptempo) or 16 bars (ballad)
- Repertoire: from a contemporary musical
- Bring: piano score with start and end clearly marked
