Description

This course introduces students to the foundational concepts, roles, and responsibilities of nurses in long-term care settings, using Watson s Caring Science theory as a guiding framework for compassionate, person-centered care for long-term care residents. This course is available to HRSA NEP grant trainees and to non-trainee students. Trainees must complete the online and clinical portions (24 hours) of the course for a total of 2 credit hours; non-trainee students can, but are not required to, complete the clinical/lab portion of the course.
