Overview

Program Description:

International Business in Ireland and Scotland.

This ‘dual-destination’ trip will give students firsthand insight into two distinct cultures and economies - all within one seamless, immersive experience. Gain practical insights by visiting local businesses and exploring the culture in the dynamic markets of Ireland and Scotland.

Physical & Environmental Expectations

Students participating in the Spring 2027 Ireland and Scotland Study Abroad Program should be prepared for the normal physical demands of international travel. The itinerary could include several miles of walking on some days, periods of standing, climbing stairs, navigating cobblestone streets or uneven surfaces, using public transportation, and keeping pace with the group in varying weather conditions. Students should also be prepared to carry, lift, and manage their own luggage through airports, hotels, and train stations.

Costs and Scholarships

Tentative Program Cost: $4,500

Application and non-refundable $500 deposit: due September 10th

Additional Costs:

  • UWG Tuition (paid separately)
  • Touchnet payments include 3% non-refundable fee
  • Breakfast will be provided each day, along with two group dinners, but students will be responsible for purchasing their remaining meals. Students should also plan for potential expenses such as snacks, beverages, personal items, souvenirs, optional activities, transportation during free time, baggage fees, and other costs not specifically included in the program.

Estimated Guaranteed Scholarship: $900

Important Notes:

  • Program spots are generally first-come first-serve. The non-refundable deposit will secure your spot in the program, but if you are not accepted for any reason, then you will be reimbursed. Refunds will not be issued if you withdraw from the program at any point.
  • Lack of visa/passport may result in complete loss of program fee
