Overview

Program Description:

International Business Program in London: Focus on Economy & Marketing

Join our International Business program in London, where you'll explore global economic trends and marketing strategies, through immersive classes and visits to leading businesses. Gain hands-on insights into the dynamic world of international business in one of the world's top financial hubs. 

Cultural excursions will include – an open-top bus tour of London; a river cruise down the Thames; walking tours of London landmarks like Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and gardens, Tower Bridge, Piccadilly circus, Leicester & Trafalgar Square, and China Town; a day trip to Oxford University; a tour of the Mini Cooper plant in Oxford. Plus, students will have two free days to travel around the U.K., or to other cities in Europe including Paris, Brussels, Dublin etc. 

Business visits will include firms in advertising and digital media, banking and finance, manufacturing, trade and economic development.

Physical & Environmental Expectations

Participants should expect a physically active experience while in London. The program will involve several hours of walking each day, including walking on uneven sidewalks, navigating public transportation systems, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods during tours and site visits. While most activities are accessible through London's extensive transportation network, students should be prepared for a moderate level of physical activity. July weather in London is generally mild to warm, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C), though occasional warmer days and rain are possible.

Costs and Scholarships

Tentative Program Cost: $3,985

Additional Costs:

  • UWG Tuition (paid separately)

  • Touchnet payments include 3% non-refundable fee
  • The program cost includes breakfast each day; however, students are responsible for all other meals and personal expenses. Meal costs will vary based on individual preferences. A simple takeaway lunch, such as a sandwich and drink, typically costs $8 to $16, while casual dining generally ranges from $45 to $75 per meal. Students should budget approximately $35 to $55 per day for lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages, although costs may be higher depending on dining choices, shopping, entertainment, and other personal spending.

Estimated Guaranteed Scholarship: $975

Important Notes:

  • Program spots are generally first-come first-serve. The non-refundable deposit will secure your spot in the program, but if you are not accepted for any reason, then you will be reimbursed. Refunds will not be issued if you withdraw from the program at any point.
  • Lack of visa/passport may result in complete loss of program fee
