Trent Ross, Ed.D.

Dr. Ross joined the Sport Management faculty at the University of West Georgia in January 2023. He brings extensive experience in athletics administration, having previously served as UWG’s Deputy Athletics Director. His prior roles at the university also include Director of The Coliseum, Assistant Director of Business Operations for The Coliseum, and Coordinator of Facility and Events with University Recreation.

Dr. Ross currently oversees the undergraduate internship program in Sport Management, where he focuses on providing students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities. He partners regularly with leading sports organizations such as Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Football League (NFL), the PGA Tour, and NASCAR to connect students with industry-relevant experiences.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Ross is a three-time UWG graduate, holding a B.S. in Recreation, an MBA, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration.
