To apply to the Georgia Scholars’ Institute Summer Program, follow the steps outlined below:

Admissions Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the Georgia Scholars’ Institute program, students generally meet the following criteria, but admission is based on a holistic view of each student:
- Rising High School Junior or Senior
- Highly motivated and committed to engaging in college-level work during the summer
- 3.75 academic GPA
- 1250 SAT (or PSAT) composite or 26 ACT (or Pre-ACT) composite
Steps to Apply
- Complete an online UWG Dual Enrollment Application for the Summer semester. When completing the application, be sure to indicate an interest in the Georgia Scholars’ Institute Summer Program. Students are required to submit the following supplemental items in the application:
- Official High School Transcript
- Official SAT or ACT Scores
- Letter of Recommendation from teacher or High School Counselor
- Complete the GAFutures Funding Application
- Submit Verification of Lawful Presence
- Submit Immunization Records
