WUTV
WUTV
Education Building, Room 132
As UWG's on-campus television, WUTV signed on the air in the mid 80's with a mission to provide quality programming to the University of West Georgia campus, the city of Carrollton, and surrounding communities. The station broadcasts 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The station serves as a training ground for students. They receive hands-on experience preparing them for careers as producers, directors, photographers, editors, and on-air talent. WUTV features student-produced shows that feature news, sports, weather, lectures, and university and local events.
WUTV is cutting-edge, their studio and control room are newly upgraded with the most modern technology. Students from all majors have the opportunity to participate and be part of WUTV through the University Television Interest Program (UTIP). UTIP is a volunteer program where students gain hands-on experience as early as their first semester at UWG.
