Associate Professor

Biography

One of the great joys of teaching media production is to be a firsthand witness as students discover their own aptitudes and capacities within the diverse roles of a production team, as these fields require every personality type and skill set to function well. What I value most about both the classroom and the film set is that, in each case, each and every person brings something crucial to the process. Media production and teaching are collaborative endeavors that share and thrive upon this bi-directionality.

I am fortunate to have joined the UWG community in 2012, particularly the ever expanding Department of Mass Communications. I am inspired daily by the level of commitment and energy shown by our students, faculty and staff, and am excited each day with the promise of cross-campus collaboration and community.

I am incredibly proud to call The University of West Georgia my home, personally and professionally.
