Program Coordinator, Community Engagement
Amanda Wright is the Program Coordinator for the Office of Community Engagement. She has worked with the University of West Georgia since 2013. Her duties include coordinating the Carrollton-Carroll County Education Collaborative, the West Georgia Non-Profit Network, the Dual Career Opportunities Program, in addition to coordinating the Office of Community Engagement. Amanda previously worked two years as the UWise Program Coordinator in the College of Science and Mathematics Dean's Office. Before becoming full-time, she worked one year part-time for the UWise program, recruiting freshmen students to UWG who aspired to major in STEM fields, and two years as a UWise student assistant and volunteer. Amanda is from Carrollton and holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of West Georgia and an M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University. She also serves on the Advisory Committee for Communities in Schools of Carrollton/Carroll County. She is married to Randall Wright, who teaches and coaches at Mt. Zion High School in Carroll County.
