UWG Alumni at an Alumni Weekend Event

Alumni Weekend is April 29-30, 2022! We look forward to seeing you back on campus! 

April 29 - 30, 2022

Alumni Weekend is an exciting opportunity to engage with old friends and network with new friends. We are excited to host this event in-person after a two-year hiatus due to the ongoing pandemic. The weekend will include a variety of exciting signature events. Join us back on campus and reminisce about the many UWG memories that are near and dear to you! We can't wait to see you there! 

Signature Events: 

  • Alumni Take Over the Square Concert: Friday, April 29, 7:00PM at The AMP in Downtown Carrollton. Featuring a concert with live music from Atlanta Vice! 
  • Annual Meeting of the Alumni Association: Saturday, April 30, 12:00 - 1:00PM. All alumni are invited to attend our annual meeting in-person at the UWG Coliseum or virtually via Zoom. An optional lunch is available before the meeting at 11:00AM for $10 per person. 
  • Brave Like a Wolf Celebration Dinner featuring comedian Arvin Mitchell:  SOLD OUT! Saturday, April 30, 6:00PM in the UWG Campus Center Ballroom. Also featuring the 45th Annual Alumni Awards Celebration. All alumni and friends are invited to join us for a special night of entertainment and celebrating UWG's many accomplishments. Registration is $25 per person (complimentary registration available for all 2022 Alumni Award recipients and one guest). Dress is business formal/cocktail.  

 

Campus and Community Events 

  • UWG Bookstore: Stop by the UWG Bookstore to pick up all your UWG gear! Open 9:00AM - 2:00PM on Friday, April 29 and 9:30AM - 2:30PM on Saturday, April 30. 
  • Oak Mountain Golf Club: All weekend. Alumni Weekend rate is $50! Call the golf shop at 770-834-7065 starting on Saturday, April 23 to book a tee time during Alumni Weekend.
  • Southeastern Quilt and Textile Museum: Current exhibit "Celebrating 20 Years of Soulful Expression of Fiber Art from the Brown Sugar Stitchers Quilt Guild" is open Friday, April 29 from 10:00AM - 4:00PM and Saturday, April 30 from 10:00AM - 2:00PM. 
  • School of Communication, Film, and Media Alumni Weekend Kick-off: Friday, April 29, 5:00-7:00PM at Printer's Ale in Carrollton. Kick off the weekend with SCFM at Printer's before heading to the square for Alumni Take Over the Square. 
  • United Voices Gospel Choir Concert: Saturday, April 30, 4:15PM. Experience the United Voices Gospel Choir perform at Victory Tabernacle (97 Glen Way, Carrollton, GA 30117). Free admission. 

 

Special t-shirts commemorating the 2022 Alumni Weekend are available for $15 at any Alumni Weekend Signature Event. Preorders can also be picked up during signature events.
