Thursday, October 21, 2021 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

The English Program is pleased to host its annual Undergraduate Research Conference and LURe Journal Release.

Students will be presenting during three sessions: 10:30-11:45, 2:15-3:30, and 3:45-5pm.

This year's plenary speaker is Dr. Carissa Harris from Temple University. She will be speaking in Campus Center Ballroom 108.2 from 1-2pm. Her talk, “Women’s Anger Against the Law: From the Shrew to the Sapphire,” will trace how the "entertaining" stereotypes of the shrew and the sapphire led to the criminalization of medieval women's and, later, Black women's anger as well as all sorts of forms of judicial violence.

All events are free and open to the public.

Please see the LURe Journal website for more information about the conference, including a complete program.
