Fall Recruitment is a formal, four day process in the fall semester designed to give a preview of the seven College Panhellenic Council (CPC) chapters on campus. During the formal recruitment process, women will have an opportunity to explore the academic, service, leadership and sisterhood components for every Panhellenic sorority. All potential new members participating in the formal recruitment process must register and participate in all days of recruitment events.

Spring Recruitment is informal and does not require a woman to register. Not all Panhellenic sororities will be conducting a new member process in the spring semester. If you are interested in joining during the spring semester, please contact that organization directly using the organizational email address listed on their WolfConnect page.

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is the newest council to join Fraternity and Sorority Life at UWG. MGC consists of two organizations: Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. (known as the Lambdas), and Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc (known as LTA).

Lambda Theta Phi is the first and largest Latin Fraternity founded on December 1st, 1975. Lambda Theta Alpha is the first Latin Sorority, also founded on December 1, 1975.

These organizations partake in many events on campus such as community service, strolling, saluting (a form of dance that is unique to these organizations), and educating the campus about Latin culture.

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be of Latin descent to join these organizations! Both organizations welcome those from all walks of life to join.

Each affiliate organization implements the guidelines and details of its own membership intake process. Any violations of an organization’s set program should be referred directly to that organization’s leadership or national headquarters. The final pledge is the oath of allegiance taken by a candidate from which he/she cannot withdraw. Each organization has its own ceremony and ritual, with the objective that this rite is intended to be impressive.
