Resident Director: Devonte Wilson

Hello! My name is Devonte Wilson and I was born in North Charleston, South Carolina. I had a brief stint in Corpus Christi, Texas before finally settling in my hometown of Jacksonville, FL. I attended the University of West Florida where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, and I am currently a 2nd year student in the College of Student Affairs Graduate Program here at the University of West Georgia.

During my time at the University of West Florida, I was a Resident Assistant for two years and a student desk assistant for one, so I have always been heavily involved with Housing and Residence Life. I currently serve as the Resident Director for the University Suites right at the center of campus. My motto as a Resident Director is to ensure every resident feels that the University of West Georgia is "A Home Away From Home" while developing critical life skills during their time at this institution. I currently supervise 20 brilliant Resident Assistants and advice a Hall Council of over 10 University Suites residents so there is never a dull moment here at West Georgia!

My hobbies include attending concerts in the nearby area, bonding with cohort members, and staying active with my fraternity brothers of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Together with Becky Pritchett, the Residence Life Coordinator, the RAs and I work to ensure the students are safe and comfortable during their time at UWG!

Residence Life Coordinator: Becky Pritchett

My name is Becky Pritchett and I am originally from New Orleans, LA. I attended Loyola University New Orleans and obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Biology in December 2006. I then attended Louisiana State University and earned a Masters of Arts in Higher Education/Student Affairs. I love cooking/baking and playing board games as a way to relax after a long day.

I love learning and working with different groups of people, which is why I love Student Affairs so much! While at Loyola, I was a Peer Assistant, Orientation Leader, and highly involved with my sorority, Gamma Phi Beta. I began working in Housing while at LSU via the Academic Programs office and eventually becoming the Graduate Hall Director for an all-female building.

Here at UWG, I am the Residence Life Coordinator for University Suites and Strozier Complex. This part of central campus has 17 Resident Assistants and 2 graduate level Resident Directors. We all work together to make your on campus experience the best it can be. Our goal is that living on campus will help students learn inside and out of the classroom while making many new friends.
