Professional, Entrepreneur, and Continuing Education
At UWG, education is at the heart of what we do and we believe learning is an ongoing process critical to personal, professional, and community growth. We offer a wide variety of certificate and non-certificate courses designed to help individuals and employers find the training they need to succeed.
Our Department of Continuing Education provides face-to-face, online, and hybrid training options including business classes such as customer service essentials, leadership training, and more. We also offer technology certification and training in a number of high-demand programs as well as on-site training for businesses and employer groups.
In addition, several formal Certificate Programs are available through the university.
The UWG Small Business Development Center is part of the Richards College of Business and is one of 17 centers in the Georgia SBDC Network. Our professional business consultants at the UWG SBDC offer confidential, consulting services free of charge to companies seeking management, marketing, and financial advice. Some assistance is also provided to pre-venture businesses that have gathered the necessary information and are ready to move forward. The UWG SBDC serves Carroll, Coweta, Douglas, Haralson, Heard and Polk counties.
Looking for an advanced degree? The University of West Georgia offers several Master's, Specialists, and Doctorate degrees that may benefit you.
Need something you don't see listed? We encourage you to contact Continuing Education and/or the SBDC to inquire about future availability.
