The University of West Georgia's Leadership Development Institutes are a vital part of our Engage West! initiative. We understand that actively engaged and well-trained leaders are an integral part of an engaged workforce — and an engaged campus. Held every 90 days, each one- to two-day retreat focuses on a specific set of learning critical to the growth and effectiveness of the university's leaders.

We'll be working on topics such as developing a culture of high-performance, strategic thinking and planning, hardwiring success, and infusing evidence-based leadership into both our high-level plans and everyday action. Training is provided for directors and above, as well as most assistant and associate directors, managers, and supervisors. Our goal is to create the strongest leadership team possible as we work to become the best comprehensive university in the nation, sought after as the best place to work, learn, and succeed.
