Notices of Filing of Labor Condition Application
In accordance with 20 CFR § 655.734, the Code of Federal Regulations pertaining to the Department of Labor (DOL) Employment and Training Administration (ETA):
Notice is hereby made to all applicants and employees of University of West Georgia (UWG) that the institution currently has the intent of hiring the following non-immigrant employee(s) under the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service classification of “H-1B Specialty Worker.”
This notice shall be posted on or within 30 days before the date the LCA is filed and shall remain publicly posted online as well as within Human Resources and the actual hiring department for a minimum of ten (10) business days.
Complaints alleging misrepresentation of material facts in the Labor Condition Application and/or failure to comply with the terms of the Labor Condition Application may be filed with any office of the Wage and Hour Division of the United States Department of Labor.
As per federal regulations, Human Resources retains information regarding non-immigrant employment and actual compensation, which is available for public inspection upon request. Payroll records are retained for a minimum of three (3) years from the date of record creation. Copies of Prevailing Wage information and the filed LCA are contained in public access files in Human Resources, where they are retained for a period of one (1) year beyond the last date on which a non-immigrant was employed under the LCA, or the date of expiration or withdrawal, whichever occurs first.
